Very happy to see this now out in Cell Press STAR PRotocols! Great work together with @Chris Mahony to publish the protocol to analyze haematopoietic lineages in the adult #Zebrafish. Hope it is useful to others in the field!
We used this protocol to isolate kidney marrow and to study the molecular underpinning of bone marrow failure in a zebrafish model of GATA2 deficiency, a rare disease that predisposes to hematological malignancy (Full paper here: https://lnkd.in/ebPDcx3C).

It’s fascinating to see how research uses zebrafish to understand the mechanisms underlying blood formation disorders. Moreover, the protocols used are shared, making them a valuable resource for other researchers. In my opinion, it’s important to continue following developments in health research that use this type of disease model, as they can lead to new insights into various hematological disorders.
